Making Artists Revealing Knowledge Using Solidarity

This is an institution in a rural area located in Extremadura, near Madrid and Andalucia. This village is only 14 kilometres away from the capital city, Cáceres, which was declared Patrimony of Mankind. Our village has around 3000 inhabitants, middle class people, with livestock and agriculture, in which there exist a wide range of pupils with different kinds of needs. Thus, there is a group of pupils with specific needs, there are also some others with a high risk of social exclusion, and a small group of migrants, mainly from Morocco.

We consider this opportunity very important for our students as ours is an area where they don't have special chances to move as, in spite of being one of the most beautiful regions of Spain especially regarding to environmental facts, this is not one of the richest since it is not a central region. We would like to point the fact that we are borderline with Portugal and it would be one of the trips for this interchange. We believe that the knowing of other realities is the best way to respect them and to achieve a common reality for a better future.
In this context, pupils with special needs (physical, economical or cultural differences) have an additional disadvantage to travel to other places.

So our objective would be:
to adapt the curricular contents for these students
to integrated them inside the school community
to improve their personal projection and self -esteem
to approach their reality to the rest of the school community
to offer strategies of behaviour so that the rest of students have a better relationship with them.
