The Agrupamento de Escolas e Jardins da Serra is composed of four kindergardens, frequented by children from four and six years old . There are threeSchools of the 1 cycle, by pupils fromsix to years old, in classes the first four levels of Basic Education.. In the Mother School the four first years are also taught as well the 1st Cycle, 2nd Cycle and 3rd Cycle. The 2nd Cycle constituted by 5th, 6grades, 3ş cycle is constituted by 7th, 8and 9th grades. The age of the pupils of the School headquarters is betweenand 14 years old, constituted by girls and boys.
Our educational establishment is known as Basic School Integrated Santa Catarina da Serra, inserted in a small village with the same name, in Leiria District far from Leiria City just 20 Kms. Santa Catarina da Serra is a small village, being half agriculture village many small companies offering some services . It is served by good national road and with an access to the high wayA-1, Lisboa - Porto. To reach átima City takes only 5 kms.

There are inthe Agrupamento de Escolas e Jardins da Serra 605 pupils, distributed for all of the agroupment, but is a very dynamic School, participating in diverse activities of curricular enrichment and some projects. The staff is constituted

by more or less 60 teachers supported for some administrative employees and auxiliary of educative share. We have about 30 children, with ages between 5 and 14 years old regular classes but inserted inSpecial Education, thesechildren have psychic and motor insufficiencies, as well other cognitive difficulties(nee). The main objective of this program is to foment the equality and their integration/inclusion in the society. These children are supported by a Specialized Teacher, a Psychologist and Regular teachers, where the pupils attend only some curricular subjects, being the Expressions themost sucessfull subjects.

To promote the learning and formation the life of children and the young people with psychic and motor insufficiencies in the pertaining to school community and society. To provide to the due support the children with educative necessities special. To carry through the contribution enters the professors to direct the pupils in its didactics shares, using the new technologies in education, the methods attractive and of more easy of learning. To carry through assistant didactics for a great use for the pertaining to school community. To contribute for the valuation of the educative systems of each country that partner. The waited impact is great, because this project multinational is directed not only the pupils who participant in the project, but also all the pertaining to school community, the local community, private establishment of Special Education, the associations of parents, entities you publish and private, companies, responsible of the education, social medias, etc
